In 2005, M. Rock Style cornered a market in the Louisville Kentucky and surrounding areas with the launch of economical photography packages with style and editing services included. These packages offer high numbers of images per package and continue till this day in providing our clients with shared copyrights on all high-resolution images from their shoots.

We have always prided ourselves on fast turn-around time on our clients' disk of images, as we do our best to provide those for them same day.


We also believe in giving our clients the choice of their favorites, instead of just receiving a disk of the photographer's favorites. This is what has keep our loyal following of clients coming back sometimes as much as four or five times a year. Since we are able to continuously offer something new, each time with different hair, makeup and different shoot themes, there is always variety given to the clients every session.


Our clients range from a wide range of career fields and backgrounds. They span the gamut from teens and college students to working mothers and executives. Brides, entertainers, athletes, models and actors - all just looking for a great selection of images and choices on their favorites.

Got a little unexpected press yesterday. This was my first LA publication, so I was a little psyched for the exposure. Any press is good press I always say. ;) This is a new organization I joined out in Hollywood. Its was founded to open networking opportunities with other business women in the entertainment field who are new to the L.A. area.

Stylemaker: Merika Rock

Merika Rock is all about dressing to impress. "I like to wear things that turn heads. I don't like to be in the shadows. I like to be in the limelight," she says.

"I like things that are fashion forward and edgy."

As a stylist for M. Rock Style, Merika has helped a who's who of Hollywood celebrities put their most fashionable foot forward, including Kim Kardashian and her mom, Kris Jenner, when they were in town for Derby a few years ago.

These days Merika is really enjoying the changes she has recently made to her own wardrobe.

"As a stylist, for years my wardrobe was black, black,

black," she says. "In the last couple of years, I have really been adding some color to my life. … You can't help but feel happy in bright colors."

Another first for Merika is having a closet full of dresses. "I never used to have dresses until this year, and now I've got like 20 dresses."

When Merika is out and about, you'll always see her in a pair of sky-high heels, and "I never, ever do an event without my fake eyelashes."

Merika believes accessories also make the outfit. "Shoes and purses and jewelry really take that outfit from plain to chic in two seconds flat, because it really adds those accents that make the outfit complete."

Merika calls herself a "bargain shopper" and says she's "always looking for a good sale," which she often finds at local consignment shops.

"You'd be amazed at what you can find at Plato's

Closet. I've gone there time and time again with my sister on our regular Friday shopping trips, and I've gotten some amazing dresses and shoes for a fraction of the regular price," she says.

At her Highlands apartment, where she also has her photography studio, Merika calls her decor "mini Vegas," noting its supersized red leather couch, pool table and mini bar on display in the living room.

Career: Merika's 8-year-old company, M. Rock Style, offers styling and photography services locally and nationally. She has styled a variety of celebrities over the years, including Kim Kardashian and Los Angeles Lakers scout Bonnie-Jill Laflin. Merika is also a shoe stylist for ShoeDazzle, a company co-founded by Kardashian.

The Buzz - M. Rock Style 2011 Kentucky Derby Styling
